My name is Christopher W. Williams and I am a 23 year old college graduate, majoring in Childhood Education and English Literature--though now I wish I had been going for graphic arts and photography!
My first camera, a Canon PowerShot G9, was purchased in January 2008 in order to have better manual controls of my photographs above a regular point-and-shoot and as a requirement for a photography elective. Thanks to the wonderful people at Studio 414 and their online contest, I have since won the Grand Prize for February 2009 and added the Canon EOS 5D Mark II to my arsenal, along with 3 lenses so far.
I tend to take Nature and Landscape photographs of the things around me--anything that looks interesting, inspiring, or beautiful. I look to capture "spots of time," as Wordsworth put it, and the beautiful places I have visited. I would say other photographers I am influenced by would be my first photography professor Byron Wolfe, NOPATTERN's innovative Chuck Anderson, Flickr's Angelique(Liek), and the ARF team Aaron Nace and Rosie Hardy.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my website, and I hope you choose to take some of my photographs home with you to enjoy even longer.
