There was one spot of sunlight left on the grass, coming through the trees, at sunset.  I pointed my camera up and discovered this view before the sun continued to set.

Walking through some wooded trails revealed multiple swarms of gnats that look remarkably like tiny fairies!  It took several dozen tries to land the focusing and timing right to soot this moving mass of dots.

This was a rose given to a co-worker for becoming an official employee rather than a temp of the past 4 months. I was asked to photograph it, and so this was taken out in the parking lot! An impromptu portrait I'm proud of given the circumstances.

Ninety percent of the time I was outside during the summers of my childhood, I was swimming in Lake Ontario. I've always felt at home with water, and it most certainly manifests in some of my favorite things: swimming, oceanography, marine wildlife, boating, fishing, etc.
